I joined a photowalk with Sven on March 20th, and everything was perfect – from the first contact to the actual event. Sven is a passionate artist and photographer who shares his working approach in a warm, approachable, and well-grounded way. He’s also simply a very kind person you enjoy learning from.

Sven is currently exhibiting his work at the Courtyard Hamburg Airport hotel, where the exhibition can be viewed anytime free of charge, even without booking a room. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Sven's Street Photography workshop gave me a perfect start of my Hamburg trip. Sven showed me fantastic places and made me watch objects and people with new eyes.
I'm also a photographer and it was valuable to me to talk about photography, squares and actions around street photography with Sven.
Durng the workshop I received a lot of information and tips on places, flea markets and more, which made the rest of my stay in Hamburg extra good. Thank you Sven!

Sven is an extremely talented photographer. He really helped me with my approach to street photography in such a unique way. It was a very cloudy, rainy day, and no sunlight to provide dramatic shadows. Even in not ideal photographic conditions, Sven provided me different ways to look at street/ architectural details. The other bonus was his intimate knowledge of Hamburg. Definitely book Sven for a photo workshop.

Even with rain and a grey sky – which does happen in Hamburg – Sven still managed to show us wonderful places to photograph. His gentle guidance and calm presence helped me develop my own ideas and form my own approach to street photography. We’ll be back and are already looking forward to the next session.

My husband and I are vacation photographers, which means we crack out our cameras mainly when we travel. We have taken 11 photo tours before I booked this tour based on Sven's impressive portfolio. I love the atmospheric look /mood of his pix.
I love the unique locales he showed us. What really helped me was his patience and interest in sharing the camera settings and how he would shoot the scene. This is exceedingly rare among our photo tours. For someone totally clueless about manual settings, he gave me the confidence to create images that will actually show up, esp. in low light conditions. His willingness to critique our shots was also uncommon photo tours.
I am so glad to have taken Sven's photo tour and highly recommend anyone wanting to learn and improve their photographic skills!

First off, Sven is a really good guy, very accommodating and communicates really well, his passion for his craft is obvious. I had a 'Photo Walk' with Sven on Sat 21 May 2022, the weather was great which, when coupled with Sven's intimate knowledge of the city of Hamburg, made for some extremely enjoyable hours roaming both known and unknown locations in this beautifully photogenic location. I am an experienced photographer and know my camera but I don't know the street/urban genre well, with Sven's guidance and keen eye for an image, I soon found I was also getting my eye in and seeing things I hadn't seen previously. All in all, if you're looking for a guide/tutor, I would thoroughly recommend engaging Sven's services if you're visiting Hamburg to attempt some street/urban style photography. Hello photography friends,
we, two photographers from Munich, recently had a spontaneous photo walk with Sven in Hamburg. It was a great encounter and we had a lot of fun exploring and finding motifs. We especially enjoyed the insider spots away from the usual hotspots.

Last weekend I booked a photo workshop with Sven. I’m very satisfied — and we also had a lot of fun. He gave many valuable tips, and we didn’t visit the usual spots, which I found especially exciting. It definitely helped me move forward, and I now see many things in the city with different eyes.

Yesterday I had a one-to-one coaching session with Sven. He kindly stepped in at short notice to replace a cancelled workshop – and it was absolutely worth it. Sven is a very kind and calm coach. The walk was relaxed, yet full of information and helpful tips on composition that you can apply and reproduce far beyond Hamburg. You learn without even noticing – what more could you want?

I can only recommend that anyone interested in street photography spends some time on the streets with Sven. It’s worth it. A clear recommendation.
